Denver, CO

City and County of Denver

8,500 feet of conduit, 100 pull boxes, 250 traffic signal devices, and more helped improve transportation infrastructure in this busy urban area.

Value Delivered

Dynalectric Colorado provided electrical installation solutions for Denver Moves: Broadway, a transportation infrastructure improvement project along a bustling corridor of downtown Denver.

Due to the nature of public projects and funding, the project was working with six-year-old designs. Our team helped interpret the designs and coordinated with the rest of the project’s contractors to help ensure all of our installations were completed in a timely manner according to the design intent.

The completed project will help expand transportation options along the corridor, promote safety, and improve access to local businesses and other destinations in the neighborhood.

Client Objectives

Denver Moves: Broadway is part of the larger Elevate Denver Bond Program, an action plan aimed at improving transportation across the city. The main component of the project was the creation of a two-way protected bikeway, but it also included new sidewalk curbs, streetscaping, multimodal improvements, signage, art, traffic signals, and drainage upgrades.

Solutions

Our scope of work encompassed an array of electrical installations, including:

  • 8,500 feet of underground conduit
  • 100 in-ground concrete polymer pull boxes
  • 13 new meter pedestals and traffic control cabinets
  • 675 feet of drilled caissons for streetlights and signal poles
  • More than 250 traffic signal devices
  • 45 traffic signal mast arms

Along with the infrastructure improvements, the project also included a public street art component. Our team did a great job incorporating this unique element into our scope, installing conduit, pull boxes, and foundations for the art poles and connecting the electrical components of the artwork to power.
